Frequently Asked Questions

1. Is this event for couples in crisis, or only for strong marriages?

This intensive is for couples who want to grow, whether you’re rebuilding or strengthening.

You do not have to be in crisis to attend. And you do not have to “have it all together” either.

Some couples come because they feel disconnected and need direction. Others come because things are good, but they want to make sure they stay that way. Many fall somewhere in between.

The only requirement is willingness.

If you and your spouse are open to learning, reflecting, and having intentional conversations, this experience will serve you, whether you’re repairing cracks or reinforcing the foundation.

2. What makes this marriage intensive different from a typical conference or church retreat?

This is not just inspiration. It’s implementation.

Over two intentional days, we walk through structured sessions that cover:

Foundations of Marriage

Creating a Shared Vision

Conflict Resolution Techniques

Understanding Financial Dynamics

Reigniting Intimacy

Action Planning & Commitment

Each session includes practical exercises designed for you to work through privately as a couple — not just listen and take notes.

You won’t leave with hype.
You’ll leave with clarity, tools, and a written action plan.

Everything is biblically grounded, but deeply practical and applicable to everyday life.

3. Will we have to share our personal struggles publicly?

No.

You will not be asked to share personal struggles in front of the group.

All exercises are done privately between you and your spouse. While there may be optional moments for group interaction, participation is always voluntary.

There will be a team available to pray with you and your spouse one on one if you would like to be prayed over.

We intentionally create a safe, respectful environment where couples can work on their marriage without feeling exposed or pressured.

This is about strengthening your relationship, not putting it on display.

4. What results can we realistically expect after two days?

We don’t promise perfection. We focus on direction.

After two days, couples typically walk away with:

- A clearer shared vision for their marriage

- Better communication tools

- Greater awareness of conflict patterns

- Practical financial alignment strategies

- A renewed sense of connection

- A 12-month action plan to keep momentum going

You will not solve every issue in 48 hours. But you will gain clarity, language, and tools to move forward with purpose instead of frustration.

5. What if my spouse isn’t fully on board yet?

This is more common than you think.

Often one spouse is excited, and the other is unsure. That hesitation usually comes from fear:

- “Is this counseling?”

- “Are we going to be put on the spot?”

- “Is this going to feel heavy or uncomfortable?”

The Chesed Marriage Intensive is not about blame, therapy sessions, or forcing vulnerability.

It is practical, structured, and focused on growth, not digging up the past to assign fault.

Even hesitant spouses often leave saying,
“I’m really glad we did this.”

If your marriage matters to you, sometimes one step of faith is all it takes to create momentum.

6. What happens after the intensive?

The intensive is a starting point — not a one-weekend emotional high.

At the end of the event, you will create a practical action plan for the next 12 months. We also provide continued encouragement and follow-up opportunities through:

- The Chesed Marriage Podcast

- Optional extended learning pathways

- Quarterly follow-up gatherings

Our heart is long-term transformation, not short-term inspiration.

We want you to build a marriage that grows stronger year after year — with community, accountability, and biblical clarity.

Testimonial

As we stood just 25 days away from our wedding, our hearts filled with gratitude for the journey the Lord had set before us. The “Marriage Intensive” has been a profound blessing, guiding us to see our relationship through the lens of our Father’s plan and purpose.

Throughout this season, we have learned that marriage is not just a union between two people, but a sacred covenant designed by God. Each lesson has reminded us that our love is meant to reflect Christ’s love for the Church—selfless, sacrificial, and enduring. (Ephesians 5:25) We have discovered that true alignment in marriage begins with seeking God’s will together, inviting Him into every decision, and trusting in His provision. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

One of the most profound spiritual lessons we’ve learned is the importance of growing together in faith. By praying together, studying the Word, and sharing our hopes and fears, we have found strength in unity. The yoke of marriage, though it carries responsibility, becomes lighter when we walk side by side, anchored in God’s promises. (Matthew 11:29-30) We are learning to support each other, to listen with compassion, and to forgive quickly, knowing that these are the ways we lessen the strain and follow in His word. (Ephesians 4:32)

We have seen firsthand how our Father provides—sometimes in ways we never expected. Whether it’s wisdom from mentors, encouragement from friends, or peace in moments of uncertainty, God’s hand has been evident. (Philippians 4:19) We are reminded daily that our marriage is part of a greater story, one that He is writing for His glory.

As we prepared to say, “I do,” we committed to building a marriage that honors God, serves others, and grows stronger through every season. (Psalm 127:1) We pray that our testimony encourages others to trust in the Lord’s design for marriage and to seek His guidance in all things.

With grateful hearts, we look forward to the adventure ahead, confident that as we align our lives with our Father’s purpose, He will continue to provide, protect, and bless our union.
